When I sat down to read this book, I was antsy with excitement. It sounded just like what I love. It had all the elements in a paranormal romance that will steal my heart: passion, suspense, shifters, BDSM.....all amazing elements. I wanted to be sucked into the heart of the story, taken on a joy ride of lust and desire. I was. But, there was still a little bit missing, and I think it was because I came into the story on the 4th book, missing out on the full effect.
In Kept By Seduction, Ms. Holland tells Awai's tale. I loved her. She's been through hell: abuse,family disappearances, things no woman should ever go through. I truly was touched by her character. She lost her 3 nieces to kidnappings the years prior, and now she's anticipating her time. What she's not expecting is for her kidnapper to be a handsome-as-sin were-tiger and her mate. But, there's one problem. He's a Dom......and so is she.
Ty's character is amazing! I loved every minute of his side of the story. He's a Dom. Truly in every sense of the word. He's passionate about his lifestyle, not abusive as lots of Doms can be. When he comes for Awai, and tries to convince her that she is queen.....the sparks fly, sure, but I loved the way he worked with her, showing her that just because she has a dominant side, doesn't me she doesn't have a submissive side as well. Oh my god, he was awesome. I truly loved him.
So, despite the fact that there was something missing, I still enjoyed this amazingly written story of letting go, submitting and embracing love's seduction in all forms. Ms. Holland blended her characters perfectly with the intense BDSM element and turned out an amazing sensual story. I will be going be going back and starting this unique Fairytale series from the beginning, to truly grasp the entire story line. Bravo, Ms. Holland!

"Kept By Seduction" by Jaymie Holland/Cheyenne McCray is the final book in the erotic `Wonderland' quartet. Awai Steele has identified the day that her beloved nieces disappeared, each on the one year anniversary of the one prior. She has prepared as well as she could for her own disappearance but little suspects the remarkable and sensual world that she is about to enter at the behest of the Ty, the ruler of the Kingdom of Clubs whose other form is an enormous white tiger. This is another spicy read in the inventive series that explores a very different version of the beloved children's story of Alice and her adventures. The sensual and dominant males that populate this world have found their mates who will help them break the infertility curse as well as gracefully submit to the demands of these lusty shapeshifters. Awai is a blend of feisty female and willing submissive as she adapts to the new world that she has been dragged into. Different aspects of a BDSM relationship are explored in an imaginative fashion that blends magic and various tools that are sometimes employed including whips, wax and restraints. I appreciated the resolution of the mystery behind the curse and family conflict that is at the heart of the Wonderland woes and liked the way a thread was left for the opportunity to explore more adventures in this very sensual world.

Three consecutive years on the same day, one of Awai Steele's nieces vanished (see Annie in Bound By Desire, Alice in Taken by Passion, and Alexei in Claimed by Pleasure). She has no idea who or why, but Awai waits for the arrival of the culprit(s) to come for her on the anniversary date of their kidnapping is soon; she plans to make them pay.
Awai has become a Dom who still yearns to be a sub but refuses to give into her nature after the torture of marriage to an abuser when she was very young. Kingdom of Clubs ruler Ty comes for his bride Awai, but he senses she refuses to ever submit though that is what she desires. He explains she is his queen and that her family is safe and married to monarchs and raising were-children in the other three kingdoms of Tarok. Still danger stalks the kingdoms perhaps from allegedly dead sorceress Mikaela, sister of the four kings who never accepted female rivals.
This reprint of the final Wonderland (as Cheyenne McCray) BDSM fantasy romance is a delightful erotica as Ty must persuade his Awai they can enjoy love and life if she sets free her inner sub. Ironically she is the one who believes that the true power is with the sub over the dom. Readers will enjoy the titillating gender war as the King of Clubs tries to persuade his queen neither has to bust genital parts to have a wonderful SM life together.
